Projects

At G3 Galvanizing Limited, our commitment is to delivering the highest quality coatings possible. Our strength is completing projects on time and on budget! Having worked on an extensive list of high volume projects, we have the experience and skill base to take on projects of any size. We are proud to have completed various coatings projects similar to the following:

Duplex Coating Systems

Using a duplex system affords steel the corrosion protection and durability of a galvanized coating with increased aesthetic possibilities through painting. Galvanizing prior to painting will eliminate the unsightly rust staining of a compromised paint coating. This duplex coating will protect this structure from corrosion and reduce maintenance costs for the life of the rail system.

This project is an excellent example of how galvanizing provides not only corrosion protection but is also an expedient service for quickly putting equipment on line. Galvanizing was specified for this application to meet the short lead time requirement of the fabricator. If this equipment had been painted, additional time would have been required for extensive touch-up after assembly.

Because the galvanizing process involves total immersion of the material, it is a complete process; all surfaces are coated. Galvanizing provides both outside and inside protection for hollow structures as well as complicated fabrications. Galvanizing continues at the factory under any weather or humidity condition and can be completed with short lead and turnaround times.

Metallizing

Metallizing is the process of spraying molten metal onto a surface to form a coating.

Metallizing alone provides substantial corrosion protection, however a duplex coating system (metal sprayed coating and sealing and/or painting) has a longer service life than the sum of the service lives of the metal coating and the paint system considered separately.
